As you click on the various tabs you will see that our congregation is actively involved in ministering to our community. We believe that we exist to be a credible, visible witness of the transforming power and saving grace of Jesus Christ. We are not only a Christian church but a congregation of believers that strives to be Christ-like in how we live our lives. Here at First Christian Church you will find acceptance, forgiveness and love. We are a united church; a giving church, and a church that refuses to water down the gospel of Christ.
As senior pastor, I am committed to teaching and preaching the full counsel of God. I refuse to follow ever-changing gimmicks used to attract potential members. I recognize that "the three C's of ministry": committed, concerned, and compelled describe how our members reach out to our neighborhood for Christ.
Pets for Christ is to be a display of pictures featuring our congregation members (and their kids, grandkids, neighbors, etc) interacting with their pets.......cute pics, stupid pet trick pics, best buddy pics.....anything to show our love for our 4 footed sons and daughters (!?)......Pictures must have names of pet(s) and people on back of each picture provided and turn pictures into Phyllis Bennett. No limit on number of pictures provided....This is to be an ongoing event, so provide pictures as often as you like.
Bring your favorite lawn chair or blanket and join us for our 2012 Concert Series. This years event will feature 7 weeks of family fun with a mix of gospel, bluegrass, choral and contemporary praise and worship music.
All of the concerts are free but we will collect a "love offering" for each artist and some of the artists may have products available for purchase. Click the "Read more" link to view this years schedule.
